Strategic thinker.Growth builder.Impact driver.
I bring brand, marketing, and AI together into the commercial engine that turns ambition into measurable growth, across markets and across sectors.
My work sits where brand, marketing, and technology meet, turning positioning into growth, and ambition into results.
Wafa Waheed is a brand strategist, marketer, AI integrator, and dynamic educator. She launches brands, designs campaigns, opens markets, and puts AI to work, from a global travel brand to a US-accredited institution in the Gulf. Entrepreneurial from the start, she held a leadership role in an education consultancy start-up while still at university, and has since launched two internationally accredited institutions from zero and opened markets that did not exist before her. Her work today spans more than fifteen countries, with a team serving students of over twenty nationalities.

Challenge
An authentic safari brand with deep roots, competing for a global audience without a clear story or system.
Approach
Brand positioning and a full marketing and digital strategy, blending tradition with technology and AI tools, built around the founder’s journey and culture.
Result
Elevated social presence, digital campaigns, brand consistency across touchpoints, and storytelling that connects and converts.
“Her contribution was transformative.” · Founder, Berngo Safaris
Challenge
Launching the official UAE branch of Walsh College USA, established 1922, from zero: no brand, no pipeline, no first student.
Approach
Built the brand, the marketing engine, and the admissions function from the ground up; school and agent partnerships; an AI-driven CRM answering families within 24 to 48 hours across more than fifteen countries.
Result
A working enrolment engine and a growing student body, with the systems to scale it.
From student one to a growing institution.
Challenge
Ambitious intake targets for Pakistan and North Africa in a crowded transnational market.
Approach
Repositioning, acquisition strategy, and a school and agent partnership network built market by market, opening the Pakistan market from zero.
Result
A record single-intake performance, delivered ahead of target and topping every DMU international market that year.
£3.5M in one intake · 160% of target
Challenge
You cannot recruit students to a place that has no story. Two emirates needed one.
Approach
Destination-first narratives for South Asia, Africa, MENA, and the CIS: the brand of the city built to carry the brand of the campus.
Result
Dubai positioned as a serious study destination for new markets, and Umm Al Quwain placed on the world education map for the first time.
Place precedes product.
Challenge
Brands invest heavily in influence without understanding how it becomes preference.
Approach
Research into the relationship between influencers and brand users.
Result
Published research, and a working framework for how modern preference is made.

AI, used with judgement

Panel · MasterclassWhere AI actually belongs in marketing
Essay · Read +Every marketing team is now an AI team. Or so the slide says. Look closer and you will usually find one of two things: AI bolted on as decoration, a paragraph that exists to reassure the board, or AI allowed to take over entirely, so the brand now sounds like every other brand that typed the same prompt. Both are failures of the same kind. Nobody decided where AI actually belongs.
I have spent my career building brands and growth engines, from a safari company telling its founder’s story to the world, to a US-accredited institution in the Gulf built from its very first student. In every one of those rooms the question was never “should we use AI?” It was the older, harder question wearing new clothes: what is this brand for, who must choose it, and what work stands between here and there? AI belongs downstream of that answer. Never upstream of it.
What AI is genuinely brilliant at
Used with judgement, AI is a multiplier. It compresses the distance between a decision and its execution. Research that took three weeks takes three days. A campaign that needed ten variants gets forty, tested and ranked. That speed is real, and refusing it is not a principle, it is a handicap. When I built the digital strategy for a travel brand, AI did not write the story. It let us tell the story in more places, more consistently, and measure what connected.
What AI must never be given
Positioning. Taste. The decision about what not to say. A brand is the commercial case for why a business deserves to be chosen, and that case is built on judgement. When every competitor has access to the same models, the output of those models cannot be your advantage. Your judgement is. The brands that lose this decade will not be the ones that ignored AI. They will be the ones that outsourced their point of view to it, and discovered too late that they sound like everyone else, because they are made of everyone else.
Strategy decides. AI multiplies. Never the reverse.
If a task is about direction, meaning, or trust, a human owns it. If a task is about volume, speed, or iteration, hand it to the machine and hold it to a standard. Then review everything that carries your name, because the audience does not grade you on your tooling. They grade you on whether they believe you.
